What a tiring week!(pls mark)

Every second ticked by like a minute and every minute passed by like an hour, it felt like an eternity. I rested my heavy head on the table dozing off, stifling yawn after yawn while the teacher cruised through her lesson. I simply could not wait for the bell to ring. After succumbing to my drowsiness, I knocked off and went into dreamland. The loud sound of the screeching bell awoke me and to my great relief, school was over!

The weekend was upon me and what a great time for it to come. It was a well deserved rest-bite after a exhausting week, I probably came back every day weary after a long day. This is simply because of my torturous soccer training schedule. I had trainings on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. When i say training, it is just not kicking a ball around but in fact jogging around the field fifteen times. "Nothing much!" You may ask, all i got to say is, "how bout trying it then!" Tuesday and Friday were the only days where I had no after school activities. I thought I could enjoy on Tuesday but once i step foot into my house, my mother reveled that i had tuition today. I looked at her in astonishment and said, "I did not arrange any tuition today what!" "Ya, but i did. I just enrolled you in a new Science tuition. It seems it is very good!" My mother mentioned. I thought to myself, "what the hell! I wanted to go on MSN and chat with my friends but no chance obviously with another activity adding to my already packed schedule.

On Friday, I went home after school and was extremely glad that nobody could order me around or tell me what to do as nobody was at home. I was as free as a bird! Overjoyed with my freedom at long last, then the phone went. It was my mother. I crossed my fingers, hoping that there was no new enrollment for me. Firstly, she asked me how was school. I was relieved as I told her that it was a bore and I told her i was going to take a nap after I ate my yesterday's leftover dinner. As I was about to put the phone down, my mother said, "You have to go to Po Po's house to collect some stuff from her. After you do that, you can come home and sleep." I put down the phone with a look of disgust on my face. I knew it was impossible to accomplish the assigned task as my eyes were bloodshot. Yet I knew I had to do it!

I trudged my way to Kengbangan where my grandparents live, just a ten minute walk from my house. I reached there at around 3pm and was stuck there until 4.45pm. You know old people and their stubbourness, they never let me go!

A fanatic or a lunatic(pls mark)

Many people in the hugely populated world when asked whether they eat to live or live to eat, they come out with their differnet and interesting opinions. My answer to this question is simply eat to live, full stop! However, evident from my blog archive, I love Manchester United and i live to watch the club play. I probably cannot describe to you my affection for the club. Being a die-hard is unbelievable but it also can be quite upsetting as well. For an example, whenever Manu(Manchester united) come out at the wrong end of the result, a gut-wrenching will wriggle up and cause frustration If you do not believe, just ask Darren Chong, another fanatic of Manchester United in my vibrant class.

However, a die-hard does not always have gloomy days. Stepping on the perfect dark green pitch of Old Trafford, the stadium of Manchester United was an honour as well as a privilege while I was on a tour around the enormous 67,000 seater structure. This occured when I was barely eight years old. The following day, my parents and I went to watch a match between Manu and Chelsea. Before the match, the players admired as idols arrived in their fashionable soprts cars, blasting their music. I even got an autograph of one of my favourite players then, Ryan Giggs. However the event that made my day was being able to catch glimpses of my favorite players running from end to end in the field during the captivating match. The atmosphere was magnificent, many were on their feet and i just at a height of 1.4m, was not really able to watch the fast flowing play.

The match was fantastic and the final score was 3-3. Although Manu did not come out victorious, i had a memorable time which will always stay with me for the rest of my life. My unforgettable trip to Old Trafford!

My injury packed day(pls mark)

I tried to leap out of bed but my best efforts were ineffective. A sharp pain triggered down my left hamstring and I thought to myself, "it had to be the strenuous training yesterday!" I grimaced in pain recalling the ten rounds of non-stop jogging we did around the field and sprints. As you know i hate fitness training evident from my blog archive. I hobbled along towards the toilet to complete my daily routine of brushing teeth and having a warm shower. After that i somehow managed to hop on one leg down the spiral staircase to put on my socks and rugged brown shoes.
Just as i thought it could not get any worse, i had a glimpse of my time-table and saw that we had PE today. What a day to have PE!
"Couldn't it just be on another day!" I thought to myself, limping on my way out of the house. I knew we were going to do the usual start of the year dreaded 2.4km run and i was in no fit condition with my left hamstring like that. I just had to explain to my PE teacher that was impossible for me to participate in the run due to my injury. "But, would he believe it?" I questioned myself. No surprises, my thick head pointed out to me, "no way! There's no
Medical Certificate!" I remained doubtful about my plan going through.
When I reached school, i realised all my soccer friends were in pain as well. We decided that we go as a group and explain to the PE teacher our injuries. As the quote goes, a small plan made is better than a big plan planned. Although it was not much of a small plan, all of the soccer boys persevered by running the 2.4km including me. We did not even ask the teacher to excuse us unlike in the plan we hatched. However, we did know what was installed for us. Getting back to class was a chore as we had to limp up the
staircases. Just as we thought entering class was like heaven as we could sit down and have a rest, we discovered that it was harder to sit than to stand. We realised that our hamstrings were further aggrevated after the lengthy run. I just could not take my mind of the pain as it was kind of excruciating, maybe i am exaggerating but it was indeed no small matter. Anyway that was my injury packed day and I wish i would never ever have to go through that again!
